The dedicated edit option has not been given for WhatsApp yet. After sending the message, users only have the option to delete it. But, with the introduction of this new feature, users will be able to edit the text message even after sending it.
Wabetainfo, a website that monitors the new feature of WhatsApp, has reported about this feature. According to the report, after releasing the React Message feature, the company can also give an editing option regarding the sent message soon.
It has also been said in the report that WhatsApp was working on this feature five years ago. But it was closed again. Now after five years, the company is once again working on the edit button.
Wabetainfo has also shared a screenshot about this feature of WhatsApp. It is shown in this screenshot that when one of the messages is selected, a dedicated edit button is also found with it.
That is, apart from copying and forwarding messages, the user will also get the option of a new edit button. By selecting the edit button, you can correct spelling mistakes or typos even after the message is sent. Right now, the user only gets the option to delete the message. This feature is currently in the development stage. Because of this, not much information has been received on its public availability yet.
